Top: vintage
Skirt: vintage
Belt: vintage

I found this beaded top a while ago at a second hand store for $10.  I was really excited when I found it because usually these types of vintage tops are quite a bit more expensive, so I feel like I got a steal. Hooray!

Summer is soon coming to an end and first the first time in my life, I think I'll be sad to put my summer clothes away in my closet and bring the fall ones out. Normally, fall/winter clothes are my favorite to wear, but lately I've collected so many great summer pieces that I'll be sad to see them go. Luckily it's only for a little while!

Have you ever seen a movie so many times that it's permanently in your subconscious? There are quite a few movies like that for me (mostly involving childhood 80s movies), but one of them is The Wizard of Oz.  I was completely obsessed with that movie from the ages of 3-7 and I watched it nearly every day, so it's not too much of a surprise when I find myself inadvertently dressing like characters in the movie.  I realized after I put this outfit together that it is reminiscent of Glinda the Good Witch's costume, which still happens to be a dream dress of mine to this day. I guess it's the whole gauziness of the shirt and top? Either way, I'm digging it!

The radio in the last picture was a gift from my boyfriend that I'm super excited about! I've been looking at that for a while because other than my phone, I didn't have anything to play music on, and i had nothing to hook my phone up to. Luckily, this has solved both of those problems! Also, it's mint green, which is one of my favorite colors.  He always seems to know what I like!

                                                                Vintage Headband

I've been harboring an obsession with hair accessories for a while now. Any excuse to stick something in my hair and I'll take it (or at least think about it).  I've been collecting/making hair pieces for the past couple of years, but I don't wear them out a lot because of the effort in finding something to wear them with and the stares I know I'll get if I wear them. I decided to take a few  pictures of some of my favorite ones and share them on the blog.  Some of them I made and some of them I bought.  Perhaps one day I'll take more pictures of the others I have, but here are just a few ones for now!

Flower crown made by me

Ulyana Sergeenko inspired headband made by me - I was obsessed with those berry headbands when they came out, but I knew there was no way I was ever going to get my hands on one, so I DIYed it. I think it turned out pretty well. I was going to try to make more after I finished this one, but then I ran out of steam.

Vintage pink ostrich hat - an estate sale find I got a couple of weeks ago and previously in the possession of a very fancy lady.  I'm excited to for winter to come so I can wear it!

 Dress and Headband: Vintage

Not much to say about these! I have been waiting for an excuse to wear this headband somewhere, but the occasion has not yet come around, so I just threw it on for these photos.

Melodramatic Prom

Dress: Vintage
Hair thing: made by me

Welp, it's been a while since I've posted on this blog. A lot has happened the past few months! I moved to an apartment at the beginning of the year, so a lot of time has been consumed by slowly moving stuff in and decorating on a budget.  Half a year later and I basically have everything set up, so one of these days I will do an apartment tour.  The biggest issue is that I'm living in internet exile, so I have to mooch it off of friends and family when I can! Right now I'm at my parents, so here I am!
Since I have a space of my own now, I can take more pictures indoors! That's more my style, because I really hate going out in public and doing it. I get so self-conscious! I didn't really expect much out of these shots, but it was fun to just put on a bunch of fancy dresses and wear silly hair pieces that would make me feel like I'm too overdone if I walked outside in them. Anyway, these are just a few I took.  I'll have more later!

Shop Stuff

It's been a long time since I posted, but I guess that's my usual story.  Lately I've been working on a lot of stuff for my etsy shop, so I thought I'd do a post showing what I've been up to. I've been making mostly headbands and hair clips with vintage millinery flowers and glitter. Also, my velvet obsession has come into play, too! If I had to pick a theme for these items, I'd say it'd be Oktoberfest meets Swan Lake. Anyway, here are some pics! Shop link will be down below.
