Sweater Party

Dress: Vintage
Sweater: Vintage
Belt: Vintage
Shoes: Modcloth

Hello, it's been a while! I've been up to nothing in particular lately, but I've been finding it hard to have time to take pictures. Today I was off, however, so I finally got around to it! I've been hoarding every piece of fall clothing I can find since July in anticipation of fall weather and it's finally here! Sort of! Now I'm running into the dilemma of trying to put together an outfit that involves more than just a dress and shoes, because I'm so used to my simple outfits of this past summer, that I've lost my touch a bit! Anyway, this outfit was a product of that dilemma.  I bought this dress over the weekend, and it's nice bright corduroy that could potentially go with a lot of things, but I was just having trouble putting something together that I liked.  Luckily, I remembered this awesome sweater I got over the summer, and figured it'd be a pretty good match!  Here's to hoping I get back into the swing of things!

Over the weekend, I went to see Looper with a few friends and was not disappointed! Except I was maybe a little disappointed about Joseph Gordon-Levitt's face, because I was anticipating seeing two hours worth of his dreamy features, but forgot that he was made up to look like a young Bruce Willis. Not that it's a bad thing, it's just Bruce Willis has looked like he's 50 for about 30 years, and well, his face is not Joseph Gordon-Levitt's face. Anyway, it was pretty good, and I liked that the plot wasn't convoluted with too much time travel explanation because usually that gets hard to follow and makes it seem like the director is just trying to cover up huge plot holes with confusing explanations. The whole thing reminded reminded me a bit of Inception, Children of the Corn, and The Expendables.  There was a nice scene of Bruce Willis taking out 20 or so people with a machine gun, but for the most part, it didn't have a lot of cheesy action scenes. See it if you haven't!

  3. Love this look! That vintage dress is gorgeous and you look amazing in red. I saw Looper on Friday and loved it as well! Though, I agree, I would have preferred JGL's face untouched :)
