Pom Pom Sweater DIY

I've been eyeing a pretty fantastic sweater on the interweb lately, but being a person on a budget doesn't leave much room for buying $40 sweaters, so I decided I'd attempt a DIY and share it.  It's super simple, albeit a little time consuming.  I took a few pictures to give the gist of what I did. Sorry in advance for the poor picture quality!

Supplies-
Sweater
1 bag of pom poms (100 count)
Needle
Thread

First, I went to Goodwill and bought a plain white sweater, which cost me about $3.

I got a bag of pom poms from Michaels in the kid's section. There were a lot of colors, but I decided to go with all blue.  I placed a few on the sweater before I started sewing so I could figure out where to put them.

Then I started sewing!  I started on the front of the sweater, and then worked my way to the back and the sleeves. I also tried to make the stitches as close to each other as possible so they wouldn't show on the pom poms.

The hardest part was the sleeves, which wasn't really that difficult!

The finished sweater! I still have to iron it, which I probably should have done before I started sewing. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! In total, it cost me about $5 dollars to make!
